At Nourish Quest, we hold bold and ambitious goals for the future. Our mission goes beyond nourishing individuals experiencing homelessness or those who lack access to fresh, naturally grown produce. At the heart of our work is a deeper purpose: to help shape and strengthen the niche of small-scale producers who serve their communities with care and integrity.
Why an LLC — Not a Nonprofit?
Nourish Quest LLC believes in accountability, oversight, and paying our fair share to both state and federal governments. Transparency is a core value — this structure allows us to operate openly and responsibly.
Our long-term vision is to revive and reimagine the concept of the working "poor farm" for the modern era — establishing community-centered farms across counties throughout America.

The divide between those who have and those who do not is visible — yet often misunderstood unless lived firsthand.

Historically, poor farms were once woven into the economic and social fabric of America — places of hardship, but also of opportunity and hope. Our dream is to transform that legacy into modern working farms that offer dignity, purpose, and hope to those committed to helping their communities, and to those who need a path forward to survive and thrive.
🌽 Why America Needs to Revive the Poor Farm
It has become clear that the family farm has largely collapsed over the last 30 years, and corporate farms have taken over. America needs all three — corporate farms, family farms, and poor farms — working together to keep the price of commodities affordable and food security within reach for everyone.
Poor farms played a vital role in society long before the modern welfare system existed. And today, that welfare system is on the verge of failure — making it increasingly impossible for those in serious need to qualify or meet work requirements. It's no wonder we find ourselves questioning the homeless crisis, yet continue to leave it entirely in the hands of the government and nonprofits.
Poor farms cannot solve this problem alone — but they can help. They can provide a place for those stepping out of recovery centers, for individuals serious about rebuilding their lives, and for those who want to contribute meaningfully to a community that supports them in return.
We look forward to a future of actively operating modern poor farm locations — tailored around those who want to help grow a brighter community, one harvest, one life, and one season at a time.
